We have an elite team of coaches providing programs that are tailored to meet the needs of athletes of all levels, adults with a wide range of goals, and individuals recovering from injury. We offer specialized sports performance training to elevate your game, while our adult training focuses feeling good and improving daily function. Our return to play programs are designed to help you regain range of motion, rebuild confidence, and safely return to your sport or active lifestyle. Our Partnership with MAP

Longfellow is proud to partner with Mass Athlete Performance (MAP) to bring elite sports performance training to the MetroWest area. All sessions are led by Longfellow’s expert trainers, who combine MAP’s proven training systems with personalized coaching in our state-of-the-art performance space at Longfellow Wellesley.


Founded in 2017 and based in Needham, Massachusetts, MAP is a rapidly expanding organization commited to the the holistic development of student-athletes. Going beyond traditional skill training, MAP provides a comprehensive athletic support system focused on health, performance, and college exposure. MAP’s core offerings include Youth Camps & Clinics for grades 5–12: accessible programs for grades 5–12 that build athletic skills through structured training and College ID Camps & Prep Services, which connect athletes with D1–D3 college coaches and provide guidance throughout the application and recruiting process, supporting their college admissions journey.

Being prepared is the key to success in sports - physically and mentally. Our elite coaching and our state of the art performance space offers the perfect place to prepare for the rigors of athletics for high level athletes and those striving to become one. Longfellow Performance has partnered with Mass Athlete Performance to provide elite training to the Metro-West community. Our elementary school, middle school, high school, and college groups provide the ability to work on the foundations of athleticism. These groups focused on turf work to elevate speed and agility, refining jumping and landing mechanics, progressing plyometric patterns, and improving mobility—while also dedicating time to resistance training to build strength and develop power. All of this culminates in the development of faster, stronger and more resilient athletes.

Adult Performance

IMPROVE MOBILITY, INCREASE STRENGTH, MOVE WITH CONFIDENCE

Take advantage of our adult performance groups and improve confidence in your daily movement. Sessions include a well-rounded combination of full body mobility, strength work and conditioning. We have several options for those looking to take the next step in their fitness journey. If you are looking to work on more specific goals, you can reserve a slot for private training. Partnership with New England Tennis Academy

Our tennis performance program, in partnership with the New England Tennis Academy, offers elite training designed to elevate the performance of aspiring tennis players. We work closely with the Longfellow tennis instructors to identify individual player strengths and deficits to create a holistic plan to help the player on the path to their goals. We utilize a dynamic blend of turf-based drills and exercises to help players improve speed, agility, footwork and overall athleticism. The athletes will also have tailored programs to help them increase their strength, power, mobility, and work on specific, individual deficits. All of this ensures that each athlete develops the physical foundation needed to excel on the court.

Fuel to Perform

Fuel to Perform is our program designed to optimize nutrition for enhanced athletic performance. Nutrition is a critical part of high performance. Athletes and their families can feel confident knowing that expert nutrition advice is available at Longfellow. Our Registered Dietitians offer a science-based, holistic approach that is realistic and enjoyable. We offer personalized nutrition planning and guidance to help athletes achieve their individual goals. This could include improving energy levels, gaining strength, and enhancing overall performance on and off the field, court or ice.

We partner with each athlete to build habits that support performance, endurance, recovery, body composition, and overall health. We look at each individual’s specific needs, training schedules, and personal preferences. Through one-on-one consultations, athletes receive a specific plan on fueling before, during, and after strength & conditioning workouts, practices, and games. This will help to ensure they have adequate nutrients to support peak performance.

In addition to individualized support, we occasionally host group seminars that cover essential topics including the importance of carbohydrates, protein needs, hydration, and much more for pre-game fueling & post-game recovery. These sessions provide valuable insights into how food choices directly impact athletic performance, empowering athletes to make informed decisions that support their training and recovery.

Longfellow has proudly featured the expertise of Jane Polley, RD, LDN, for many years, supporting New England Tennis Academy athletes through individual coaching and group presentations. Today, our nutrition team continues that tradition by helping athletes and adults across all sports and goals fuel smarter, recover stronger, and perform better.

Our return-to-play program is designed to help athletes recover fully and safely after injury. We focus on regaining range of motion, rebuilding strength, and restoring confidence through a structured, personalized and data driven approach. With expert guidance and progressive exercises, we ensure athletes are prepared physically and mentally to return to their sport, minimizing the risk of re-injury and maximizing performance.

Training as a team means keeping your teammates accountable and pushing each other to the next level. We train private organizations, high school teams and college teams to get faster, stronger and tougher together. 

Performance Testing

Precision Technology for Maximum Results

At the core of our sports performance program is cutting-edge technology designed to measure, monitor, and maximize athletic potential. We use Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates to capture thousands of performance metrics—far beyond just vertical jump height—giving us detailed insights into force asymmetries, reactive strength, and more. Some of our athletes wear Myzone Heart Rate Monitors, allowing us to track real-time training strain and optimize effort levels during every session. For speed and agility testing, we utilize Brower Tci Laser Timing Systems, ensuring precision accuracy with every sprinting or change of direction assessment. All training is delivered and tracked through TeamBuildr, our athlete programming platform. This allows athletes to monitor their progress, stay consistent with their development, and even train remotely with full access to their custom programs. We leverage all our testing data to create in-depth athlete profiles, comparing pre- and post-training performance and benchmarking results against peers—providing athletes and coaches with a clear, data-driven view of development over time.
